Sending HOPE Around the World

Families from all over the world with very sick children have needed help from the Chris Hope Foundation, and when our social work partners at QoLA bring them to us, we are happy to serve.

This short story is about a Serbian family who we got to know over time as they lived in Memphis for their son’s treatment. We were even able to give the young man a wish from our Happy Hearts program.

Sadly, this young man died last month. His mom wanted to keep some of his personal items for keepsake, but the hospital can only cover so much when it comes to traveling and shipping. No way were we going to keep mom from having these items safely back home with her in Serbia!

Our partners at QoLA  had the boxes delivered to the CHF office and we were able to arrange for and pay for the shipping overseas. This is one of the small, but meaningful, ways the donors and team at CHF support families who are battling life-threatening childhood illness.
