We want to use this opportunity to send a huge thank you to several people and businesses that have helped us make tremendous progress on the CHF Family House renovation. Every week, we are getting closer and closer to opening the doors and inviting a family in to call OUR family house “home.”

HVAC DONATION

We were humbled by the generous donation of the HVAC system by Dunbar Mechanical, Ed’s HVAC Supplier, and CRI Electrical. Innocor Foam Technologies, Howse Furniture, and C&C Pressure Wash have also greatly helped us with preparing the home for families.

THE NEXT FEW WEEKS

Things have REALLY changed in the world these last few weeks, to say the least. At this time, the City of Memphis is under a stay-at-home order to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. That’s making us change course a little with the house. I know all of you can identify with having to change course right now. Whew!

We thought we would be able to call on a small army of volunteers to paint, remove old flooring, remove old bathroom and kitchen fixtures, help with heavy cleaning (the house will be professionally deep cleaned before every family moves in), and other things like that. We’re down to an army of just a couple because it’s the safest thing for everyone to do.

We have a general contractor who has been amazing through all of this, and who can pick up the projects I just mentioned along with laying the new floors, replacing the windows (necessary to get approval), and renovating the bathrooms. If you’re passionate about the CHF Family House and how it will serve others in need, please consider making a donation that will help us pay the contractor and keep the opening on track.

We appreciate you!
