Kid of the Month – Madison

Meet Madison: Our Kid of the Month for September! 

Madison has spent the last two months waiting for a heart transplant. Throughout this time, Madison’s mom has been working to complete nursing school while taking care of her and her twin brother Junior.

Madison has kept busy by participating in game shows, creative arts, music, and pet therapy! Plus, she is a pro at scavenger hunts with her child life specialist, nurses, and physical therapists.

Madison loves visiting the gift shop with the floor staff, and she always makes some new friends along the way! This time, Madison was able to pick out a new cooking set and magical unicorn wand. She even got to enjoy some play time with the staff, too!

Each month, a child life specialist at Le Bonheur picks out a child for us. We’re truly blessed to have so many special fighters in our lives.
