Home Away from Home

Bobbie Shelby’s family needed a place to live when her family returned to Memphis for her child’s treatment. Hospital housing had COVID-19 restrictions and rental housing was prohibitively expensive.  Through the St. Jude Families Facebook group, Bobbie learned about CHF and the CHF Family House.

Thankfully, we were able to help this family of six. Here, Bobbie shares her family’s experience in the home that so many in this community helped make a reality.

“With a prognosis of ‘your son might have 12-18 months with treatment,’ you want to have as much family time as you can have. ... We’ve not missed any family time, thanks to CHF.” — BOBBIE SHELBY
