Dr. Sherrie Hopper Joins the CHF Board of Directors

The Chris Hope Foundation (CHF), a nonprofit organization providing financial and social support services to families of children diagnosed with pediatric cancer and other childhood illnesses, today announced Dr. Sherrie Hopper as the newest addition to its Board of Directors.

Dr. Hopper has continuously supported CHF by coordinating fundraisers at First Assembly Christian School, where she is the chair of the social studies department. Her new position with CHF will allow her to further aid the mission, strategy and goals of the organization.

“Sherrie’s commitment to giving back to the community and personal connection to St. Jude make her an excellent addition to our Board of Directors,” said Chris Hope, founder of CHF. “She shares our desire to help others, especially families who have a child battling cancer or another life-threatening illness. We are thrilled to have her on board in an official capacity.”

Dr. Hopper is a co-host of the Mighty 990 radio show “Chett & Sherrie,” which serves to bring awareness to civic issues in the Memphis area. Chris Hope was one of the first guests on the show and has been a recurring guest over the past six years.

“Most people know that places like St. Jude cover the child’s medical costs, but these families have additional financial burdens weighing on them,” said Dr. Hopper. “Chris’s vision to fill those other needs is crucial to the community. I’m honored to play a part.”

Dr. Hopper adds to the growing list of Chris Hope Foundation board members. Other members include Joelle Scholl, Gary Dodson, Eric Crutcher, Amy Butler, and Norman Morton.
