Chris Hope Foundation Named Germantown Chamber Nonprofit of the Year

The Chris Hope Foundation (CHF) today announced it received the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit of the Year award.

“It is an honor to be recognized by this incredible group of business professionals for our work throughout Greater Memphis and beyond,” said Chris Hope. “The support and generosity from our donors and community partners have allowed us to provide for hundreds of families in need this year. We’ve got a lot more up our sleeve and can’t wait for all that’s ahead!”

Since launching in 2015, CHF has served more than 3,000 families – an average of more than 500 per year – throughout the country. The funds raised by the Foundation are used to meet the needs of families facing financial burdens as a result of childhood cancer treatment-related disruptions. This ranges from making a child’s birthday by delivering their dream gift, powering a college education, easing the burden of medical bills, or covering other expenses related to a cancer diagnosis.

All applications were reviewed by S.C.O.R.E. Memphis, an outside third-party evaluator. The award will be presented at the Chamber’s annual awards luncheon on January 18, where winners in other categories will be recognized, too.

“Our Business of the Year awards recognize Memphis area organizations that exemplify the excellence that makes our community world class,” said Janie Day, Germantown Chamber President. “The Chris Hope Foundation has made an incredible contribution to families in need that travel to Memphis, or are already here, for pediatric medical care.”
